These FREE dance classes are for YOU, whether you are a wheelchair user or stand up volunteer dancer.
YOU CAN DANCE! Invite your friends to join you. All abilities welcome.
There are a limited number of customized wheelchairs available for use.
The auditorium is in a building to the left of the hospital main entrance. Enter the “Dr William Soldmann Rehabilitation Center”; if there is someone at the front desk, ask for directions to the auditorium. Otherwise, walk past the reception area, keep to the right, walk up the hallway with the slight ramp for maybe 25 feet. On your left there will be a glass door to the outside. Go out that door, walk maybe 20-30 feet to the double door (next to a vending machine) on your right. Go in that double door and the auditorium is on your left.
Hospital parking is available in Parking Structure 2. The first hour is free. After that is a flat fee of $4 for 1 to 4 hours. Parking is always free with a Disabled Person placard or plates.
There is free parking about 0.2 miles away in the large parking lot to the left of the “Brier Patch” Grossmont Hospital Annex (9000 Wakarusa St, La Mesa, across from Briercrest Park). (The gates to the lot are always open.) It’s a little tricky to find the auditorium from there; it may be best to park in the regular parking structure the first time you come, then scout out the way over to Brier Patch after class.
